I grew up thinking that sex was bad. My church only mentioned it twice, “Don’t do it before marriage” and “When you’re married you can do it all you want.” The lack of conversation on sex left me vulnerable to the world’s definition of it. Earlier this year, I had a dream that made me realize sex was haunting me. Repressed sexual trauma made me afraid to face the truth – that I was not looking forward to sex.
